2026 President’s Welcome
“I’m especially excited to welcome new voices, uplift marginalized perspectives, and grow the next generation of fundraising leaders.”
Watch our Chapter President’s welcome message below!Hi everyone! I’m Matthew Easterwood, my pronouns are he/they, and I’m thrilled to be serving as your 2026 Chapter President for AFP Golden Gate.
If we haven’t met yet – I’m a fundraiser, a consultant, and someone who believes deeply in the power of community. One of my CliftonStrengths is Futurist – and let me tell you, the future of our chapter is BRIGHT.
In 2026, we’re doubling down on what makes this Chapter special:
• Delivering Bay Area-focused, world-class education, both virtual and in-person
• Deepening connection and access for fundraisers across all missions and budget sizes
• And gathering together more than ever through meetups, peer groups, and shared learning spaces that reflect the real communities we serve.
I’m especially excited to welcome new voices, uplift marginalized perspectives, and grow the next generation of fundraising leaders.
Whether you’re a longtime member or joining us for the first time, I hope you’ll get involved. Join a committee, come to an event, or just show up and be in community.
Let’s build this future together.
