The mission of AFP Golden Gate is to promote philanthropy and support the effective and ethical work of the diverse community of Bay Area fundraising professionals.
Who Is AFP Golden Gate?
Founded in 1971, AFP Golden Gate has approximately 500 active members. Members are Bay Area professionals, including development and communications leaders, executive directors, associates, managers, consultants, coaches, and board members. This is a friendly and inclusive chapter inspiring a high level of volunteer participation. 20% of members actively serve as board members, committee members and mentors.
AFP Golden Gate has a strong commitment to IDEA (Inclusion-Diversity-Equity-Access) as an ongoing proactive practice in governance, committee work, programs, opportunities and member participation.
AFP Global
AFP Global's vision is to stimulate a world of generosity and positive social good through fundraising best practices. Golden Gate is proud to be one of the largest chapters in the worldwide association. A number of chapter members have served on AFP Global's board and committees.
