Full membership in the Association shall be open to individuals (a) who, among other responsibilities, hold some degree of accountability for income-generation within the fundraising process; (b) who must hold some degree of responsibility directly for fundraising; (c) who are compensated for their services; and (d) who subscribe to the AFP Code of Ethical Standards and promote the Donor Bill of Rights. Active members in good standing may vote, serve on chapter or Association committees and task forces and hold Association or chapter office.
Dues: $290.00 plus selected chapter dues.
Open to individuals who hold some degree of responsibility directly for fundraising, are compensated for their services and are 30 years old or younger. Young Professional members receive all benefits of Professional membership and can serve in leadership roles at the chapter level.
Dues: $95.00 plus selected chapter dues.
Open to individuals who are 65 years or older and no longer working full time. Retired members receive all benefits of membership except the right to vote or hold office.
Dues: $75.00 plus selected chapter dues.
Open to individuals who are engaged in fields related to fundraising, including but not limited to, accounting, law, marketing, consulting, and grantmaking. Associate members must subscribe to the AFP Code of Ethical Standards and may serve on committees but are not eligible to vote or hold office.
Dues: $290.00 plus selected chapter dues.
Open to students who are enrolled in a degree program at a college or university and who are interested in the fundraising profession. Collegiate members receive all member benefits but may not vote or hold office.
Dues: $35.00 (no chapter dues required).
Open to fundraising professionals who wish to access AFP Global benefits exclusively online. This category offers a lower-cost alternative for international members or those who do not require chapter affiliation. Global e-members do not receive chapter benefits.
Dues: $50.00 (no chapter dues).
This category is designed for for-profit organizations serving the nonprofit sector. Business members receive access to AFP’s network, resources, and recognition opportunities. One individual from the company is designated as the member representative.
Dues: $500.00 annually (includes one membership).
