Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide project coordination and management for projects and events working both independently and collaboratively with other KEXP teams when required.
- Create presentations, reports and proposals for external audiences, including the Board of Directors, volunteer committees, donors and business support clients.
- Ensure the Bay Area fundraising team has the systems and tools in place to successfully complete the annual fundraising plan designed to steward major donors and business support clients, cultivate new donors and partners, and support the overall mission.
- Ensure the coordination of deliverables across teams including communications, stewardship, and donor research; create detailed briefings in preparation for leadership donor cultivation and stewardship events.
- Collect and present data for meaningful relationship management, donor engagement and pipeline development.
- Provide logistical support for stewardship and cultivation activities as it relates to major donors, coordinating efforts with the Leadership Giving Team when needed.
- Proactively prioritize, schedule, and confirm on-time completion of action items and deliverables for both internal and external constituents on behalf of the Director of Advancement, Bay Area, including the development of a system to prioritize and manage correspondence with key stakeholders; responds on behalf of the Director when appropriate.
- Assist Bay Area fundraising team with budget management by tracking purchases, preparing expense reports and payment requests for budget manager approval, and maintaining other financial documentation as required.
- Prepare visit materials and logistics for advancement visits and activities.
General Organizational Responsibilities:
- Maintains thorough understanding of KEXP organizational policies, including employee handbook, procedures, expense reporting, and payroll submission; follows policies and leads by example.
- Actively participates in our culture of philanthropy, which honors the important role our donors, volunteers, business and community partners play in the life of KEXP. Collaborates across teams and departments to steward donors on behalf of KEXP and actively seeks opportunities to integrate philanthropy into their role within KEXP operations, programs, and projects.

Supervision Exercised: Directly supervises Advancement volunteers and interns as needed
Requirements
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of experience in office or executive management and/or other related professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
Position Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.
- Demonstrated familiarity with standard office administrative practices and procedures, including the proficient use of standard office equipment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook calendar management.
- Ability to take and transcribe meeting notes into accurate, complete minutes.
- Must be able to work an irregular schedule, evenings or weekends as needed, and additional hours during peak times, as required.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to take initiative and use independent judgment within established policy and procedural guidelines.

Physical Requirements: Long periods of being in a stationary position; operating a computer and other office equipment; frequently moving to/from various work areas; frequently communicating by phone and email; frequently remaining in a stationary position during meetings, discerning meeting content, expressing oneself, and exchanging accurate information; frequently moving to/from off-site meeting and/or event locations; occasionally moves supplies and/or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions: Primary location in home office environment, with frequent meetings and event attendance at a variety of off-site locations. This position is eligible for up to 100% remote work, with an expectation of in-person availability for key business needs, fundraising drives, and events. This position must reside in the Bay Area.
Compensation & Benefits: This full-time, non-exempt position is paid $34 - $36 per hour, depending on experience. KEXP also offers a generous benefits package which includes medical/dental/vision coverage (premiums 90-100% employer paid), retirement plan with matching, vacation starting at three weeks per year plus holidays and sick leave, parental leave, and much more.
