Associate Director of Stewardship and Development Operation
The Director of Development Operations oversees the operational, administration, financial, and business management aspects of the Development Division including, Leadership Giving, Planned Giving, Foundations, and Operations Departments. This position supervises an Operations team responsible for donor communication, donor events, gift processing and acknowledgements, database management, and reporting and analytics. The Director of Development Operations also serves as Development’s primary liaison with Finance, IT and Membership Departments. This is a hybrid position.

This role will work hybrid between working in KQED's newly renovated headquarters and working remotely. KQED requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Salary Range: $105,000-$131,000 Annually
Essential Functions:
- Produce monthly revenue and expenses tracked, reconciled, adjusted and reports for each Development Department; production and segmentation of event invitations and donor communications (mailing and email lists), management of monthly Journal Entry process, creating and oversees tracking of performance metrics for development staff, create on-air credit schedules and monitor that they are airing accordingly, and works with managers to identify issues early and drives toward goal attainment. Serves as the primary liaison to the Finance team on the creation and monitoring of department budget and revenue (30%)
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Development Division Operations team. Including (through supervising the people directly responsible for these tasks): timely gift processing and acknowledgement generation, ensure the booking and release of pledge drive and major donor challenge grants, about 30 donor and prospect events per year for all Development departments, the creation of Development donor written and digital communication including but not limited to quarterly stewardship outreach and annual major donor newsletter. - Develop business rules and ways to optimize Development’s use of Revolution Online (ROI) CRM. Work collaboratively with KQED departments to resolve CRM issues and implement best practices. Develop CRM trainings for new Development staff. Remain informed about organizational updates and changes and share Development’s needs with KQED/ROI Core team. (25%)
- Working closely with the VP of Development and Executive Director, Leadership Gifts and Senior Director, Gift Planning, to design, develop and implement customized annual donor engagement strategies for portfolios of individual donors and legacy donors. (5%)
- Serve as project manager on select projects impacting the Development Division. (5%)

Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational training preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in non-profit fundraising, event management, donor engagement and CRM management, reporting and analysis, preferable with Revolution Online.
- Excellent project management skills required including the ability to manage multiple projects, drive to deadlines, and maintain disciplined adherence to department goals.
- Expert level proficiency with CRM/fundraising software and Microsoft Office suite in Excel and working knowledge of Google suites.
- The individual should be energetic, self-directed and assertive, and also flexible, creative and understanding.
- Ability to accurately synthesize, analyze, and translate data for financial and activity reports.
- Excellent organizational, managerial and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience with financial analysis and understanding of fundraising in a complex and dynamic organization, preferably in a non-profit environment.
