Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Planning and Strategy:
- Implement a comprehensive capital campaign plan in collaboration with the executive director, board of directors, and campaign committee.
- Set campaign goals, timelines, and benchmarks to ensure successful execution and completion.
- Conduct donor research to identify potential major gift prospects.
- Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
- Support the cultivation and maintenance of relationships with existing and prospective donors, ensuring personalized and strategic engagement.
- Prepare and present compelling campaign proposals and stewardship materials for use by senior leadership and volunteers.
- Oversee donor recognition and acknowledgement programs to maintain donor satisfaction and loyalty.
- Campaign Communications:
- Execute a comprehensive communications plan to promote the campaign to various stakeholders.
- Oversee the creation of campaign collateral, including brochures, newsletters, press releases, and social media content.
- Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Event Planning and Execution:
- Plan and execute campaign-related and annual events (following the development calendar), including donor receptions, fundraising galas, and community outreach activities.
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and volunteer engagement.
- Ensure events are executed within budget and meet campaign objectives.
- Volunteer Management
- Recruit, train, and manage campaign volunteers, including campaign committee members, development and event committee members, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to effectively contribute to all development efforts.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Track and report on campaign progress, including fundraising totals, donor engagement, and event outcomes.
- Prepare regular updates and presentations for the executive director, board of directors, and development and campaign committees.
- Conduct post campaign analysis to identify successes, challenges, and opportunities for future development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fundraising with a focus on capital campaigns or major gifts.
- Hands on experience with raising funds in a small nonprofit with minimal support staff.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and executing capital campaigns.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and board members.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Salary: Commensurate with experience. Salary range $125,000 - $175,000
