We are actively recruiting a Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our team. Under the supervision of the Director of Institutional Partnerships the Corporate Partnerships Officer develops, implements, and manages the museum’s fundraising efforts and relationships with corporate philanthropic sources. The incumbent works across the Development department and the museum to secure and activate sponsorships for exhibitions and museum initiatives, oversees and builds the corporate membership program, and builds and implements the corporate sponsorships pipeline.
The Officer establishes and maintains positive relationships and regularly engages with corporate philanthropic officials, staff, vendors, visitors, volunteers, members, and colleagues in a personable and respectful manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for and manages portfolio of corporate supporters and serves as the primary contact and relationship manager.
- Creates plan for corporate support which includes research and cultivation of new prospects; oversees fulfillment and partnership enhancement activities across the museum; ensures that sponsorship packages promote strong relations between the museum and funder over the long term.
- Assists with strategizes on larger sponsorship opportunities.
- Proactively works with curators program managers and leads, in identifying programs and initiatives for which effective corporate fundraising packages and materials can be created.
- Works with appropriate museum personnel to develop compelling, strategic, and customized proposals, related budgets and financial materials.
- Leads corporate sponsorship activation and benefit fulfillment, including coordinating and managing events, private tours, and ticketing to ensure mutually beneficial sponsorship integration and engagement.
- Creates tailored sponsorship packages and proposals.
- Develops and applies stewardship practices to encourage continued support of the museum.
- Obtains all necessary information from Marketing and Communications department regarding promotional and marketing efforts. Works with marketing and communications to create and maximize promotional activities. Acts as advocate for corporate sponsors in ensuring all appropriate recognition in advertising, posters, print and electronic media, publications, etc.
- Provides support on other Development department projects, as needed.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of increasing related experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Understanding of marketing and promotions principles: cause-related marketing techniques, public relations, advertising, and consumer values.
- Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and ethics; understanding of nonprofit environments.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully organize workload in a fast-paced environment; maintain several projects of equal priority simultaneously; sustain focus, productivity, and accuracy under pressure.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to speak and write persuasively, clearly, and concisely, and to blend information from multiple sources into an effective fundraising document.
- Ability to display good judgment and exercise tact and diplomacy at all times and to demonstrate exceptional flexibility with a strong customer-service focus.
- Ability to interact effectively with board, volunteers, donors, and staff at all levels; to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment; flexibility in meeting shifting demands and priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality within the museum setting and in regard to information obtained in respect to prospects and donors.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and members of the public.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION
The Asian Art Museum is committed to practicing salary transparency. The minimum salary for this position is $67,000 and the maximum salary is $84,000. Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity. This opportunity includes a generous benefits package, including but not limited to:
