Donor Relations & Events Manager

Salary: $58,670.00 - $77,738.00 per year

 

Essential Functions
  • Manage recognition of past, current, and future donors.
  • Produce and manage a balanced series of stewardship events, ranging from small to large-scale, including working with volunteers and negotiating with vendors.
  • Create and execute strategic and tactical donor relations and stewardship plans.
  • Manage Dugoni School naming opportunities and donor recognition signage.
  • Draft and update acknowledgements, stewardship reports, and other correspondence for major donors.
  • Assist with supporting the development team’s reports and data-mining services.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Development.
Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of:

 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database systems, and e-mail systems.
  • BANNER or other fundraising database software.


Experience:

  • Minimum of two years in a professional fundraising position in a multi-person department, or equivalent applicable experience.
  • Minimum one year of experience in event planning.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.


Working Conditions:

  • Position is full-time, eight hours per day, five days per week.
  • Must be available for evening and weekend hours as needed.

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.


Experience:

  • Previous experience in a higher education environment is desirable.


Other:

  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
Physical Requirements

  • Work performed is primarily general office/administrative with frequent use of computer keyboard and telephone.
  • Requires sitting majority of the working day; occasional standing, reaching, bending and walking.
  • Requires extended periods of standing and walking during events.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 15lbs should be anticipated.
Hiring Range$58,670.00 - $77,738.00 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
