SCHEDULE: M-F (100% Onsite)
HOURS: 8:30am-5pm

The posted compensation range of $74,256 - $102,139 is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay Pathways Home Health & Hospice in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Pathways Home Health & Hospice may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fundraising Special Events Manager is responsible for the management of fundraising and donor cultivation events, securing corporate and individual sponsorships/underwriting, and stewardship of sponsors and participants.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for the coordination of events:
- Plans and executes fundraising and cultivation events for Pathways.
- Develops event budgets, obtains budget approvals and manages events to budget.
- Achieves the net charitable gift revenue goal for all Foundation special events.
- Achieves increased event participation and attendance for all special events annually.
- Assists in the recruitment, training, and oversight of event volunteers.
- Identifies new and prospective donors and solicits participation, donations, and sponsorship for events.
- Stewards event sponsors, participants, committees, and donors and helps to identify major gift prospects from these groups.
- Responsible for graphic design of event collaterals.
- Responsible for maintaining the website content related to special events.
- Manages event venues and event vendor relationships.
- Coordinates event and special project mailings as directed.
Participates in the planning and implementation of organizational fundraising:
- Solicits charitable gifts to support all special events.
- Creates new, high return-on-investment fundraising special events as needed/as appropriate
- Develops, documents, and implements sponsorships/underwriting strategies for all fundraising and special events.
- Builds relationships with key contacts and donors attending or engaged with special events through personal calls, visits, letters, emails and notes.
General:
- Works collaboratively as a member of the Foundation team to develop and meet Foundation goals and objectives, including donor identification, strategic cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Enters information as directed and appropriate in donor database
- Uses social media to promote events and engage greater donor community
- Participates on Pathways committees as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned consistent with skills and training and the mission and goals of Pathways.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, in related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nonprofit fundraising environment.
- Experience working with donors.
- Experience working with special event committees of the Board.
- Proven project management/leadership experience; event management and a gala/breakfast experience preferred.
- Proven administrative/ supervisory skills working with volunteer staffs.
- Creative, flexible, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
- Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude and functions skillfully in a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task proficiently.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with excellent phone skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to work cooperatively with others in a multi-cultural environment.
- Computer proficiency with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Google Workspace; experience with fundraising databases required, Raiser’s Edge or NXT preferred; proficient in social media and event technology.
- Must be available to work occasional nights and weekends.
- Personal automobile with valid automobile insurance available for daily work.
- California driver’s license and current automobile insurance with $100,000/$300,000 limits
- Proof of Covid Vaccination or Pathways Exemption Request.
